The town of Banff lies within a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Canadian Rockies, in the province of Alberta, Canada.

First settled in the late 1800s, Banff has attracted international tourists for over 100 years and today hosts more than 3 million visitors each year.

My Year in Banff, Canada

In 2002 I was lucky enough to spend a year in the Canadian Rockies town of Banff, Canada. From skiing and skating in the winter, to hiking and climbing in the summer, I tried everything that the mountains offered, and enjoyed every minute of it! Of course, being in Banff is not just about the mountains but also about the town and the people, and I honestly can't think of a better place to hang out with the locals and enjoy life.

This blog is my attempt at compiling those fond memories.
